2024 Mitch Park Veterans Day 5k
The event at Mitch Park in Edmond, OK, invites participants to celebrate Veterans Day through an engaging day of activities and community spirit. The festivities kick off with the UCO Cologuard at 1:40 pm, followed by a Kids' One Mile Fun Run at 1:55 PM and a 5K race starting at 2 PM. After completing the races, participants can unwind with options such as Hideaway Pizza, snacks, beverages, inflatables, and live entertainment.
This celebration on November 9th aims to honor the commitment and sacrifices of military veterans, emphasizing the significance of their service in maintaining national security. The event caters to families, making it accessible for attendees of all ages, from strollers to grandparents, and is dog-friendly for well-mannered dogs on leashes. Last year's event had a wide range of participants, with the youngest runner being 9 years old and the oldest 80, showcasing that all are welcome to join in the fun.
Prizes will be presented to the top three male and female finishers, as well as to the fastest Kids' team of four or more friends registered before the race.
