  • 2024 Old Timers Day at Choctaw Creek Park

The City of Choctaw proudly announces the return of the beloved Old Timers' Day Festival, centered around the theme 'Welcome Back,' to Choctaw Creek Park on August 24th, complemented by a kickoff parade on August 23rd at 6:30 PM. This cherished event, returning after numerous citizen requests, celebrates Choctaw's 131st anniversary as an incorporated city, rejuvenating a longstanding tradition that resonates deeply with the community.

The festival unfolds with a rich schedule, featuring the Volunteer Fire Fighters' Hamburger Fundraiser starting at 11 AM, alongside a variety of activities including a touch-a-truck event, chainsaw carving, live music performances in the big pavilion, and a dance to close the night with Bottom of the Barrel from 8 PM to 10 PM. Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy vendor and activity booths, food and beverage vendors, and engaging competitions such as the Kiwanis Horseshoe Tournament and the Mud Tug of War, ensuring a memorable experience for all ages.
