The ASO Tuneful Tales, set to captivate both children and adults from June to August at various Austin Public Libraries, offers a unique blend of free concerts and engaging arts experiences designed for families with young children aged 2-10. Expanding to 16 branch locations in 2024, the event showcases ASO chamber music ensembles and local storytellers collaborating to animate original children's stories through music and narration.
Complementing the performances, attendees can immerse themselves in arts activities, an interactive percussion center, and an Instrument Petting Zoo courtesy of Strait Music. This initiative not only brings the performing arts to life for a younger audience but also fosters a nurturing environment for creativity and learning at no cost to families, enriching the community's cultural landscape.
