The event celebrates Star Wars with special demonstrations, hands-on activities, and photo opportunities with members from the Kar'ta Beskar Mando Mercs and Saber Guild - Jakku Temple. Guests can engage in interactive Star Wars STEM demonstrations with Girlstart, meet R2-D2 and C3-PO replicas from local Droid Builders clubs, and explore iconic toys from the Texas Toy Museum. Crafting stations allow visitors to create their own Lightsabers and Yoda ears, making it an inclusive experience for fans of all ages.
An exclusive screening of the documentary 'In the Lone Star Wars State' is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., offering an inside look at the Star Wars fan community in Texas and its connection to the Western genre, directed by Alejandro Cabrera. Following the film, a Q&A session with Cabrera and guest speakers will provide deeper insights. Activities are complimentary with exhibit admission, while tickets for the film are available for purchase. Seating for the screening is on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring an engaging and accessible event for Star Wars fans.
