Bike riders from various parts of the nation can participate in an urban and rural bicycling tour and festival that celebrates historic Route 66. This event starts and finishes in downtown Edmond, offering participants a range of cycling options, including a Crit and routes of 10, 33, and 66 miles.
For younger riders, there is a special 1-mile Kids' Ride designed for children ages 10 and under, encouraging participation through bikes, trikes, and striders. This inclusive aspect of the event aims to engage families and promote cycling among the youth.
Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from the event will support the Oklahoma Route 66 Association, as well as local biking organizations such as the Bike Club and Velo Cycling Club. This initiative highlights the event's commitment to the cycling community and the preservation of Route 66.
