2024 Red Coyote Runway Mile
The Red Coyote Runway Mile is an exciting event designed for participants of all ages to test their speed on a road course. Organized by Red Coyote in collaboration with The Wheeler District, The Big Friendly, and Taco Nation, this event promises an enjoyable evening filled with activities. Attendees can expect giveaways, beverages, tacos, and a lively atmosphere for post-run interactions and fun.
A highlight of this year's event is the introduction of a Kids Run, aimed at encouraging family participation. Young athletes under the age of 13 will have the opportunity to compete in a half-mile timed race, which will provide them with a result and a finisher certificate, similar to what the adult runners will receive. Parents can join in by jogging alongside their children, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and motivation for future athletic endeavors.
The schedule begins with the Kids Run at 6:30 PM, followed by the Adult timed mile at 6:45 PM. Once the young runners have completed their course, the adult participants will take to the track, making for a seamless transition and a festive atmosphere. This event is positioned as a fun and engaging way for community members to come together and celebrate running.
