In anticipation of the Route 66 Centennial in 2026, Warr Acres, Bethany, and Yukon, three cities in central Oklahoma, are joining together to host the Route 66 Triple Tour on June 15. This unique celebration offers a plethora of free, family-oriented activities along the iconic Mother Road. A highlight is the nostalgic classic car cruise that extends across the cities, bringing to life the rich automotive history of the route.
Each city has its own set of attractions along the Route 66 Triple Tour. Warr Acres will showcase a fascinating car show and local businesses near Central Elementary. Bethany's festivities include a 'Touch a Truck' event and children's activities, while Yukon's vibrant Main Street will present a Kids' Garage Sale, a Classic Car photo opportunity, and food trucks. Additionally, a Garage Sale Permit Free Weekend will be held from June 14-16, with a Google map available to locate sales, promoting community spirit and engagement.
