  • Bruner Hill - Triangle Park

Bruner Hill is located at 227 N. 65th W. Ave. in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. The park features a range of amenities designed for community use and enjoyment.

Historically, Bruner Hill is tied to the life of William 'Billy' G. Bruner, who lived from 1852 to 1952. He was born in the region but relocated with his family to Kansas after they suffered a defeat during a battle with Confederate forces in December 1861. Known for his generosity, Mr. Bruner was reputed to distribute coins to local children at the beginning of each month. His influence extended beyond philanthropy; he was elected as 'Town King,' a prestigious role within the Creek Nation that involved representing his community in the National Council. Serving for 18 years, he played a significant role in maintaining order along the frontier by participating in efforts to apprehend notorious gang members.

The park includes several important features such as a covered picnic pavilion and an ADA accessible playground. Additional amenities include a picnic table and grill, as well as a small green space, all aimed at enhancing the recreational experience for visitors. The combination of these elements makes Bruner Hill a welcoming destination for families and community gatherings.
