Decopolis Tulsa is a mini-museum dedicated to showcasing the rich history and architectural significance of Art Deco in Tulsa. Located inside the TulsaRama Town Square on Route 66, this museum offers free entry and a range of exhibits highlighting the unique Art Deco artifacts and the cultural heritage of the Jazz Age. Visitors can also collect a complimentary map of the Deco District, which features notable buildings and landmarks, enhancing their exploring experience downtown.

One of the key highlights of the Deco District is the Philcade Building, situated at 5th and Boston, which played a crucial role in Tulsa's architectural history. Originally intended to complement the nearby Philtower, the Philcade has undergone several changes since its inception in the early 1930s, evolving into a 13-story office building. The design, crafted by architect Leon Senter, reflects classical Art Deco aesthetics, featuring notable glazed terra-cotta exteriors and interior detailing, including a distinctive lobby that once served as Tulsa's first indoor shopping mall.

The Philcade's lobby is characterized by its grand design, showcasing a combination of mahogany, bronze, and marble, which adds to its historical allure. Throughout the years, the lobby has become an integral part of the Tulsa Art Deco Museum, displaying artifacts that tell the story of the city's heritage. Various local collectors have contributed items that enrich the museum's narrative, making it a meaningful destination for residents and tourists alike.

Further, the building houses a hidden tunnel originally constructed for Waite Phillips, aimed at providing secure access between the Philcade and the adjacent Philtower. Although the tunnel itself is not accessible to the public, it reflects the historical significance of architectural features developed during an era marked by economic growth and social change.

Currently, the Philcade is maintained by Price Family Properties, dedicated to preserving its historical value and educating the public about Tulsa's Art Deco legacy. The partnership between the museum and Price Family Properties aims to inspire new generations, offering educational opportunities that draw connections to the artistic, scientific, and cultural advancements of the Art Deco period. Visitors to the museum and the Deco District can expect a rich educational experience filled with insights into the historical context and significance of Art Deco in Tulsa.
