The Williamson Museum proudly presents the 18th annual Pioneer Days set for May 4, at Old Settlers Association in Round Rock, from 10 am to 3 pm. This engaging community event, free to the public and partly sponsored by the City of Round Rock, offers a dive into historical activities such as candle dipping, butter churning, and creating corn husk dolls. Guests can enjoy live music, pioneer-themed games, tours of historic houses, and explore a richly supplied general store amidst reenactment camps and chuck wagon displays.
Additionally, David Valdez, the founder of the Texas Photography Festival, will host a special photo walk during Pioneer Day. This presents a rare chance to capture the essence of pioneer life through your lens, highlighting historic cabins, crafts, and live demonstrations. Interested participants are encouraged to meet at the information tent on the day for an immersive photographic journey into history.
