Art From the Streets Exhibit at Austin Central Library
Art From the Streets (AFTS) showcases a significant collection of work by the unhoused community from Austin, with 40 committed artists participating in 2024. These artists will display 2-3 of their creations each, offering them a platform in a professional gallery environment.
This exhibition aims to provide these artists with a voice while educating the public on the positive impact of art for the unhoused. Creating art in a studio setting encourages a sense of self-worth, independence, and community among the artists.
