    On Thursday, May 16th, from 6-10pm, experience an evening of spoken word at the Open Mic Poetry event ahead of the Local Art Sale. The gallery opens at 6, with poetry readings beginning at 8, hosted by Nicole Josephine Kline. It's a great chance to preview the gallery and enjoy the works of local poets, whether you're sharing your own pieces or simply soaking in the creativity.

    The weekend transforms into an art lover's haven with the Local Art Sale on May 18th and 19th, from 12-6pm, showcasing affordable local art priced at $500 or less. Austin's vibrant art scene comes alive at venues like Almost Real Things, ArtUsCo, and Tin Whistle Art Gallery among others. Visitors are encouraged to map their journey across the city's art spaces, guaranteeing an immersive tour of Austin's artistic talents.
