Contracommon's fourth annual Summer Arts Festival, geared towards celebrating local arts and fostering community connections, is set to take place on May 25th, from 2pm to 8pm, at Hill Country Galleria's central plaza. This eagerly awaited event, free for all attendees, promises a vibrant day filled with activities, including a showcase of over 35 creative vendors, live performances by four music acts, and engaging art activities in the Children's Art Garden. By attending, individuals support emerging Central Texas artists by immersing themselves in a hub of artistic expression, strengthening the arts community in west Austin and the Hill Country. Donations are encouraged to help continue the tradition of this enriching festival.
Adding a distinctive touch to the festival, Contracommon introduces a Juried Regional Exhibition of emerging Central Texas artists within its indoor gallery space. Running from April 22 to June 3, 2024, with the festival marking its conclusion, the exhibition highlights the talents of 10-15 artists, chosen by esteemed local jurors. This initiative aims to provide artists, musicians, vendors, and the community with invaluable opportunities.
