  • Inside Out 2 (2024) - Community Cinema

Community First! Village is hosting a special movie screening that invites attendees to bring chairs and blankets to enjoy the event with family and friends. Guests can reserve spots and indulge in their favorite movie snacks, with popcorn, candy, and drinks available for purchase. It is encouraged that patrons support the concessions team, as the revenue allows formerly homeless individuals to earn a dignified income while working at the event. The screening is free for all attendees.

In addition to the film, guided tours of the Village will be available during most public cinema events. These tours occur between the event start time and just before the film begins. Participants are advised to dress appropriately for the weather, bringing items such as flashlights and bug spray, and it is suggested to wear closed-toe shoes for comfort and safety. Dogs are also welcome, provided they are on leashes during the movie nights.

For those interested in private events, the Community Cinema amphitheater is available for rental. Interested individuals can find out more by contacting cinema@mlf.org.

The featured film for this event is 'Inside Out 2,' directed by Kelsey Mann and starring Amy Poehler, Maya Hawke, and Kensington Tallman. The film, rated PG and with a runtime of 1 hour and 36 minutes, presents a story where Riley, now entering puberty, grapples with new and complex emotions. As she navigates her teenage years, her old emotions recognize the potential for change and adaptation as Riley evolves. Movies are set to begin at full dark or approximately an hour after the event start time, depending on the season.
