  • Krause Springs Nature Preserve

Krause Springs, established in 1955 and nestled in the Hill Country of Texas, 30 miles west of Austin, is celebrated for its camping and swimming amenities. This 115-acre site graces the National Registry of Historical Sites and remains under the stewardship of the Krause Family for over five decades. It features 32 natural springs, which not only invigorate the manmade and natural pools but also flow into Lake Travis, offering a cool oasis in the Texas heat.

Visitors to Krause Springs can avail themselves of primitive tent camping or opt for one of the 24 RV sites equipped with water and electricity. The property's charm is further enhanced by the Butterfly Gardens, where guests can unwind amid the serene sounds of wind chimes and fountains, making it a perfect retreat for those looking to escape the bustle of city life and immerse themselves in nature's tranquility.
