The Austin Nature and Science Center invites the public to free pre-eclipse events on April 6 (10 am-4 pm) and April 7 (12 pm-4 pm), featuring a NASA Mars exhibit from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Attendees will enjoy a life-sized Perseverance Mars rover photo opportunity, a mini rover driving demonstration, and various planetary science displays. The event will offer engaging activities for children and informative presentations on the latest NASA science. Participants will also receive complimentary eclipse glasses for their families.
Additionally, the Austin Central Library will host NASA Sun exhibits from April 6-8, complementing the pre-eclipse activities. These events aim to educate and inspire attendees with insights into space exploration and celestial phenomena.
