Purple Martin Parties: Bird Watching Event in Round Rock
Travis Audubon is hosting the captivating Purple Martin Parties, inviting everyone to witness the breathtaking sight of these birds performing aerial acrobatics as they prepare to roost. This phenomenon starts in early summer when the birds gather by the thousands for their migration to South America. The event, described by onlookers as a visual spectacle, requires no prior registration and is free to all who wish to attend. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, cameras, and hats for comfort, and to stay hydrated during the event.
In conjunction with the bird-watching experience, attendees can enjoy special discounts and offers. The Round Rock Hurricane Grill and Wings is offering a 10% discount on meals, excluding alcohol, on party dates. The Blanton Museum of Art provides a unique auditory experience related to the event, with discounted admission.
