UT SEC Celebration
The University of Texas at Austin and Texas Athletics are set to host an all-day SEC Celebration on June 30 to welcome the Longhorns into the Southeastern Conference. The event, free and open to the public, will run from 1 to 10 p.m. across the university campus, featuring various activities including a headlining concert, interactive family games, and an official ceremony with SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey and university officials. This milestone event marks UT's entry into the SEC and promises to be a significant celebration for Longhorn Nation and the Central Texas community.
Highlights of the day include the official SEC Ceremony at 8:30 p.m. at the Tower Stage, capped by fireworks, and opportunities to engage with Texas traditions and SEC culture through activities like a Ferris wheel, Longhorns inflatable games, and the first chance to buy Texas x SEC co-branded merchandise. Free activities will also be available at University museums and centers from 1 to 5 p.m., while the SEC Network broadcasts live, offering a deeper immersion into the SEC experience. Local food trucks will provide dining options, alongside unique beverage lounges for attendees.
