  • 2024 Dallas Festival of Lights - Diwali Mela

The Biggest Grand Diwali celebration invites everyone to the Dallas Festival of Lights at Southfork Ranch on October 13, 2024. This event marks one of the most significant occasions in Indian culture, Diwali, also known as Dipawali, symbolizing the victory of light over darkness. It offers an excellent opportunity for families and friends to gather and enjoy a vibrant community atmosphere.

The festival is expected to draw a large crowd from the South East Asian diaspora as well as the broader community. Key attractions include carnival rides, a grand fireworks display, a variety of food options, and an engaging Diwali Bazaar featuring numerous vendors. Cultural performances such as a fashion show, music, dance, and the traditional Ram Leela will provide entertainment for attendees of all ages.

Children will particularly enjoy the event, with free sparklers available for the first 2,000 attendees and complimentary sweets for the first 500 families. There will also be competitions for children, a community talent stage, and interactive experiences with stilt walkers and Disney princesses. The festival aims to celebrate diversity and foster a spirit of unity through its rich array of offerings, making it a must-visit for families looking to partake in the festivities.
