Grandscape is hosting a Día de los Muertos celebration on Saturday, November 2, honoring the tradition of remembering and sharing memories of loved ones who have passed away. This festive event will feature live entertainment, a variety of authentic food vendors, a beautiful photo opportunity, and more activities designed to engage the community and celebrate this cultural heritage.
The entertainment schedule will include a performance by the Mexico 2000 Ballet Folklórico at 6 PM, a Mariachi Band at 7:30 PM, and a Latin Party Band at 8:30 PM. Each performance aims to enhance the festive atmosphere and allow attendees to experience the vibrant music and dance associated with this special occasion.
A significant highlight of the event is the Altar de Recuerdo or Altar of Remembrance, where community members are invited to contribute to a communal tribute. Attendees are encouraged to bring 4x6 inch photographs or smaller copies of their loved ones to add to the altar. It is important to note that originals should not be provided, as they will not be returned. This collective display aims to create a vibrant mosaic that celebrates the lives and stories of those who are no longer with us, fostering a spirit of remembrance and community connection during the Día de los Muertos celebration.
