2024 Fritz Park Pumpkin Patch Weekends in Irving

The Animal Connection Experience at Fritz Park is set to host its fourth annual Pumpkin Patch event from October 5th to November 3rd, 2024. This event takes place every weekend and is a collaborative effort between Westland Ranch and the City of Irving, aimed at providing an affordable entertainment venue for families since the summer of 2021. The renovated Fritz Park Farm in Irving, Texas, serves as the backdrop for this seasonal celebration.

Attendees can enjoy a range of activities with reasonable admission fees. Irving residents are charged a lower admission price, while children under two years old can enter for free. A child's combo package is also available, including admission, a feed cup, a pony ride, and a Magic Pumpkin Seed. Additional attractions include a petting zoo and pony rides, which are popular among visitors.

The Pumpkin Patch allows guests to choose from a variety of locally grown pumpkins, all at a fixed price, with a portion of sales supporting Irving Animal Services. Visitors can tour a selection of Halloween-themed activity areas, such as a Creepy Bone Dig, Spooky Bowling, and a straw maze. Children can engage their creativity by planting a Magic Pumpkin Seed and painting the pumpkins they grow.

The Spooky Barn offers family-friendly fun, while professional photographers are on hand most weekends for family photo opportunities. The Ghoulish Gift Shop features Halloween-themed items, snacks, and drinks for attendees. The petting zoo provides a hands-on experience with various farm animals, allowing children to interact with goats, sheep, and more. For young guests, pony rides and pig races add excitement, with the chance to meet the race pigs after their performances.

Kids and families can also enjoy observing the playful Ring Tailed lemurs in their enclosed habitat. The Boo Bakery at Fritz Park tempts visitors with both sweet and savory snacks, including themed treats and popular beverages. Lastly, a mothers' lounge is available, offering a comfortable, quiet space equipped with essential amenities for nursing mothers and a reading area for toddlers.
