2024 Huffines Harvest Fest in Richardson
The Huffhines Harvest Fest will take place on October 19-20, 2024, at Huffhines Park in Richardson, Texas. The event is scheduled for Saturday from 10 A.M. to 6 P.M. and Sunday from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M. Families are invited to join in the festivities, with a highlight being a costume contest on Sunday at 1:00 P.M. Participants, including ghosts, princesses, witches, and superheroes, must register in advance to compete for cash prizes.
Visitors can explore a vibrant marketplace featuring a diverse array of vendors, including curators, craftsmen, growers, and local makers. Each vendor has been carefully selected to provide a unique shopping experience, contributing to the overall charm of the festival.
Family activities are central to the event, offering fun options for attendees of all ages. Families can engage in pumpkin decorating, scarecrow dressing, and play pumpkin Tic-Tac-Toe. A petting zoo will also be available, allowing children to interact with friendly animals.
On Sunday, the newly introduced Children's Entrepreneur Market will allow kids aged 5 to 17 to showcase their entrepreneurial skills by participating in a craft market entirely run by children. This initiative aims to encourage creativity and business acumen among young attendees.
Live music will be featured on two stages throughout the event, showcasing local musicians performing a variety of genres including jazz, blues, and bluegrass. This musical element enhances the festive atmosphere, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Attendees can also relax and unwind in the Craft Beer Garden, where they can sample cold beers or indulge in a favorite glass of wine while strolling through the park. A selection of food vendors will be present, offering a range of festival treats to satisfy hungry guests.
