2024 Rest In Plano Halloween Festival
Rest In Plano (RIP) Fest is a free Halloween-themed festival taking place in the Downtown Plano Arts District. Scheduled for Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., the event will be held at McCall Plaza and features a variety of entertainment options, including music, food, drinks, and interactive activities.
The festival will showcase performances by the main act, RādiantSólz, who will deliver three sets throughout the evening. The first set is from 5:25 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by a brief intermission, after which the second set will run from 7:15 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Another break will precede the final performance, which is scheduled from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
A range of exhibits will be featured at the event, including the Perot TECH Truck that will offer spooky science activities from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Guests can explore other attractions such as Plano Sustainability & Environmental Education, spooky vehicles, and interactive experiences like the Blackout Maze, Wax Hands, Glow Battle Axe, and Glow Connect 4 presented by TEG. The Voodoo Lounge, sponsored by Voodoo Brewery, will provide refreshing beverages, including Voodoo Witches Brew and Butter Beer Mocktails. Additionally, the Eternal Sunshine Photobus will be available for festive photo opportunities.
The festival will host several vendors offering a variety of products and treats. Fluffsco will provide Crocs, croc charms, and teddy bear slippers, while Temporary Reality will showcase stained glass art. Guy McMonstermaker's Creatureporium will feature custom molded sculptures inspired by pop culture. Food options include funnel cakes, corndogs, potato swirls, and more from JBW Vending, LLC. Steel Dragon Art will offer unique metal sculptures and leather goods, while Mai Hand Made Crochet will sell handcrafted items such as bags and hair clips. Black Cat Print Co will bring a range of nontraditional art, including illustration and painting. Vintage clothing will be available from Ligers Vintage, and Camp Bow Wow Plano will present its dog care services. Other attractions include henna tattoos and Halloween pottery, alongside promotional material from DART staff.
