This year's Oktoberfest, organized by the Chamber of Commerce in Southlake, celebrates another successful festival with an expected attendance of over 100,000 visitors over the weekend. The event offers free admission and features live music, a diverse selection of food and drinks, and numerous booths selling various items.
Attendees can enjoy a leisurely stroll through the picturesque Town Square, where they can explore unique, handcrafted arts and crafts booths. The festival provides a family-friendly atmosphere with plenty of entertainment options, including a dedicated children's area filled with engaging activities.
A highlight of the event is the popular wiener dog race scheduled for Saturday, October 12. Pet owners can sign up their dogs to compete, and the day will kick off with a costume contest at 9:30 a.m., followed by the race at 10 a.m.
On Sunday, October 13, participants can also compete in a Super Mario Bros video game competition. For convenience, parking is available in the Town Square parking garages, and shuttle service will be provided from White's Chapel United Methodist Church, located at the corner of Southlake Blvd. and 185 S. White Chapel Blvd.
