Gaylord Texan Presents Ice! Featuring Rudolph The Red-nosed Reindeer
The Gaylord Texan in Grapevine is set to host the holiday attraction, ICE! featuring Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer™, from November 15 to January 5. This enchanting display brings to life the beloved tale of Rudolph, showcasing over ten immersive scenes that capture the essence of the story. Visitors can also experience six exhilarating two-story ice slides and captivating passageways, providing numerous opportunities for family-friendly photos.
The attraction is meticulously crafted by a team of 40 skilled artisans from Harbin, China, renowned for its ice festivals. These craftsmen take about 40 days to complete the vibrant 17,000-square-foot installation, which features 2 million pounds of ice. Inside the display, guests will find stunning floor-to-ceiling works of art, all preserved at a frigid 9 degrees Fahrenheit. To help guests keep warm in these chilly conditions, the attraction provides complimentary blue parkas.
Beyond ICE!, the Gaylord Texan will offer a festive array of Christmas activities. Guests can enjoy an ice tubing hill, an ice skating rink, and a gingerbread decorating area, along with various live performances and dining experiences. Opportunities for memorable photos with Santa are also included. The resort will be adorned with over two million holiday lights, 15,000 sparkling ornaments, and a striking 54-foot-tall rotating Christmas tree, adding to the overall festive atmosphere.
