Before In-Sync Exotics was founded, Vicky Keahey, a dedicated veterinary technician, formed a bond with an abandoned cougar named Tahoe in 1991. Vicky, initially inexperienced with exotic cats, embraced the challenge of caring for Tahoe, learning about her unique needs with the assistance of veterinary professionals and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

Vicky's compassion and commitment didn't stop with Tahoe. In 1994, she welcomed another cougar, Ranger, into her care, nursing him back to health. The two cougars formed a close bond, underlining both the joy and immense responsibility of caring for such majestic animals. Her journey with Tahoe and Ranger marked the beginning of what would later become the respected and compassionate mission of In-Sync Exotics.
