    Dealey Plaza, where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated, was named after George Bannerman Dealey, an early publisher of The Dallas Morning News. The WPA built the plaza, and in 2003 the Dallas City Council approved its reconstruction to match its 1963 appearance.
