    The annual Kid Fish event, targeted at both novice and seasoned anglers, invites the community to a competitive fishing experience at Community Park. A significant preparation involves releasing 500 pounds of catfish into the park's pond, ensuring ample opportunity for participants to demonstrate their angling prowess. Competitors are categorized into three age groups—0-4, 5-9, and 10-14 years—with awards recognizing the longest fish caught in each category. The event champions a catch and release practice to promote sustainability.

    Scheduled for Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Community Park, located at 8700 St. Andrews Lane, the event is open and free to all, offering a vibrant community atmosphere. It is noteworthy that participants under 17 do not require a fishing license, allowing unrestricted participation among youths. All attendees, however, are reminded to bring their fishing equipment and supplies to engage fully in the festivities.
