The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, in partnership with the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, invites the public to experience the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024, from 10 AM to 3 PM. This spectacular celestial event offers attendees a range of eclipse-focused activities and space science explorations, covered under general admission. Museum members will enjoy the added benefits of free admission and eclipse glasses. Additionally, eclipse glasses are available for $3 at ShopToo! in advance and during the event. A complimentary viewing area is also provided outside the Museum to accommodate guests without general admission.
During the event, Fort Worth will be positioned directly in the eclipse's path of totality, offering a rare glimpse of the Sun's corona as the Moon completely obscures the Sun for approximately two and a half minutes. Attendees can look forward to optimal viewing on the Museum's front lawn, educational opportunities, engaging family activities, live music from the Navy Band Southeast Brass Quintet, and delicious fare from local food vendors.
