Palm Valley Lutheran Church, originally established by Swedish immigrants in 1838, has a rich history of community and worship. Initially gathering in homes and later constructing a log cabin church, the congregation fully organized as the Swedish Lutheran Church of Brushy by 1870. Over the years, the church evolved and became known as Palm Valley Lutheran Church, now part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Services began in Swedish and expanded to include English and Spanish, and we are pleased to host the Antioch Korean Church of Austin. We are currently exploring the addition of Telugu language services as well. At Palm Valley, we embrace the values of GRACE-Growing in Faith, Reaching the Community, Awe-inspiring Worship, Connecting in Small Groups, and Exceptional Serving. We strive to be a welcoming space that promotes understanding and acceptance, offering a place of grace in a judgmental world. We invite everyone to join us in our journey of faith and community engagement.
