Edmond Library: Swing & Foxtrot Dance Adventure
In the fourth week of the Summer Dance Adventure for teens and adults, special guest Femeya Cole from Adelante Dance Studio in Moore will be leading sessions on Swing and Foxtrot, two esteemed ballroom dances. The Swing, known for its lively bounce, evolved alongside the swing jazz music of the 1920s-1950s, while the Foxtrot offers a smooth, easy-to-learn style that began in New York City. Participants are encouraged to dress comfortably and stay hydrated.
Those interested in joining must register in advance to secure their spot, with a reminder to cancel if unavailable to allow others the opportunity to participate. Space is reserved until five minutes post the scheduled start, after which waitlisted individuals present may join. Additionally, a limited number of seats will be available for those who prefer to watch the dance sessions.
