'Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical' features beloved songs such as 'You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch' and 'Welcome Christmas,' composed by Albert Hague and Dr. Seuss for the original animated series. The story follows Max the Dog, who serves as the narrator, as he recounts the tale of the Grinch, a bitter character with a heart 'two sizes too small,' who attempts to steal Christmas from the joyful inhabitants of Whoville.
The production is enhanced by magnificent sets designed by John Lee Beatty and costumes by Robert Morgan, which are inspired by Dr. Seuss' original illustrations. The musical's score and book by Mel Marvin and Timothy Mason breathe fresh life into the age-old message of the true meaning of Christmas. The 2024 production is skillfully directed by Matt August, with choreography by Bob Richard, reflecting the original choreography created by three-time Tony Award® winner Jack O'Brien.
