  • How The Grinch Stole Christmas Musical - 2024

The Grinch' has achieved remarkable success on Broadway, breaking box office records for two consecutive years during its holiday runs at the St. James and Hilton theatres in New York. This engaging holiday musical has since attracted more than 2.1 million audience members across the United States. The New York Times lauded the production as “100 times better than any bedtime story,” while Gannett papers described it as “a genius of a show!” that offers enjoyment for both children and adults.

'Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical' features beloved songs such as 'You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch' and 'Welcome Christmas,' composed by Albert Hague and Dr. Seuss for the original animated series. The story follows Max the Dog, who serves as the narrator, as he recounts the tale of the Grinch, a bitter character with a heart 'two sizes too small,' who attempts to steal Christmas from the joyful inhabitants of Whoville.

The production is enhanced by magnificent sets designed by John Lee Beatty and costumes by Robert Morgan, which are inspired by Dr. Seuss' original illustrations. The musical's score and book by Mel Marvin and Timothy Mason breathe fresh life into the age-old message of the true meaning of Christmas. The 2024 production is skillfully directed by Matt August, with choreography by Bob Richard, reflecting the original choreography created by three-time Tony Award® winner Jack O'Brien.
