    • NAMIWalks 2024 Awareness Walk at Scissortail Park

    The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is hosting a walk in Oklahoma, with registration open up to the event day at namiwalks.org/oklahoma or at the site from 8AM. Activities start early, featuring a resource fair, music, and a Survivors' Memorial Ceremony at 8:15AM, leading up to the walk kicking off at 10AM. Parking is available around Scissortail Park and downtown with a free lot at SW 15th Street and Harvey Ave, though attendees are advised to allow extra time for parking and consider ride-sharing.

    Participants are encouraged to register online or arrive at 8AM for onsite registration. The day includes a variety of activities, from a photo booth and yard games to food trucks and a Zumba warm-up before the walk. Teams can check in together, while individuals can check in at the designated table. Fundraisers who contribute $100 or more are eligible for a NAMIWalks t-shirt, with pick-up details provided at check-in. The event promises a community-focused day supporting mental health for all.
