Outdoor Movie in the Park in Norman
Lions Park is set to host an Outdoor Movie in the Park on Friday, May 24, featuring the 2023 Best Picture nominated film, Barbie. This family-friendly event welcomes attendees to enjoy a variety of activities starting at 7:00 pm, including art projects led by the Firehouse Arts Center, a selection of food trucks, and refreshments such as popcorn, candy, alcoholic beverages from 405 Brewing Company, treats from Nothing Bundt Cakes, and Beanstalk Sno Cones. The evening will be further enlivened with trivia games and a costume contest inviting all attendees to dress as their favorite Barbie or Ken characters, with prizes up for grabs.
The event not only promises delicious snacks and entertainment but also highlights the talents of muralist Aditi Heins (@aditi.designs), presented by the Firehouse Art Center and the Norman Park Foundation. Guests are encouraged to don their roller skates and wear pink to the movie, which will begin at sunset.
