  • First Friday Art Crawl

The First Friday Art Crawl, established in 2007, celebrates its seventeenth consecutive year as one of the premier public entertainment events in Tulsa. This monthly event showcases local galleries, studios, museums, and part-time galleries located in various shops. It takes place on the first Friday of each month from 6 to 9 PM, creating an inviting atmosphere for both art lovers and casual visitors.

Designed to support local artists, the Art Crawl provides an essential platform for them to display and sell their work. Initially drawing between 50 and 100 visitors across 4 to 6 venues, the event has significantly expanded, now attracting over 3,000 attendees each month and continually bringing new visitors to Downtown Tulsa.

During the Art Crawl, visitors can explore a variety of mini-galleries along with established museums and galleries that often feature free or reduced admission. Shops in the area also extend their hours to accommodate guests. Attendees can enjoy a mix of visual art, performances, and sometimes even fireworks, with each venue contributing a unique and creative experience that exemplifies the vibrant Tulsa Arts District.

The First Friday Art Crawl serves as an ideal outing, whether as a romantic date featuring cocktails, coffee, or dinner on the many patios, or as a family-friendly excursion with activities suited for children, such as gallery shows and live music. Visitors who prefer to extend their evening can also find numerous clubs, bars, and coffee shops that typically offer live entertainment, enhancing the event's appeal as a multifaceted cultural experience.
