  • 2024 Dinosaur Day in Austin

The Texas Science & Natural History Museum invites the public to celebrate Dinosaur Day, delving into the lives of prehistoric giants that have fascinated humanity for generations. A highlight of the day includes fossil identification sessions with a paleontologist from 10am-12pm and 1-3pm, offering a unique opportunity for attendees to learn directly about their own fossil finds.

Interactive and educational activities are scheduled throughout the event, including a Dinosaur Day scavenger hunt and special story time for early visitors. Guests can explore a vast display featuring a 33-foot tyrannosaur skeleton cast replica, touch real fossil specimens, and engage with exhibitions that connect extinct dinosaurs to their living descendants, birds. To commemorate the experience, the Museum Store is offering a 20% discount on select dinosaur-themed merchandise, enriching the educational journey with memorable takeaways.
