2024 Georgetown Sunset Movie Series

The Georgetown Parks and Recreation's Sunset Movie Series, hosted by the Friends of Georgetown Parks and Recreation, offers a delightful summer experience with free outdoor film showings. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs and snacks to enjoy a series of family-friendly movies. The event promises complimentary popcorn and activities before the show, with free dessert provided to the first 100 guests each month, courtesy of various local businesses. The films commence at dusk, approximately 8:30 p.m., with safety measures in place for weather concerns.

This year's lineup includes 'Trolls Band Together' in June, highlighting the adventures of Poppy and Branch, followed by 'Barbie' in July, capturing Barbie and Ken's journey from Barbie Land to the real world, and concludes with 'Super Mario Bros.' in August, featuring the fantastical quest of Mario and Luigi. The series emphasizes a community-friendly atmosphere, allowing personal food, leashed dogs, and enforcing a pack-in, pack-out policy for trash, ensuring an enjoyable and clean environment for all attendees.
