The Neill-Cochran Museum is set to host a Halloween Carnival on Sunday, October 27th, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This free, family-friendly event invites guests to celebrate Halloween in a historic setting. Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes or come as they are for a festive afternoon filled with activities.
The carnival will feature engaging attractions for children, including Trunk-or-Treat, scavenger hunts, and various games. Participants will have the opportunity to craft handmade keychains and friendship bracelets with the assistance of museum staff and volunteers. Additionally, in collaboration with event partner Latinitas, guests can create ofrendas in honor of Día de los Muertos, adding a cultural element to the day's festivities.
The event is open to the public, and entry to the museum's lawn is free. Guests are welcome to drop in at any time during the event hours. The museum will also provide tours, allowing children to explore local history through interactive Seek-and-Finds. Complimentary parking is available behind the museum to accommodate visitors. The carnival is co-hosted by The Vine and Latinitas, with sponsorship from H-E-B and Target, promising a memorable experience for all attendees.
