  • Juneteenth: The Galveston Story Screening at the Bullock Museum

Juneteenth: The Galveston Story,' a film detailing the history of Juneteenth through the eyes of Galveston County's community leaders and descendants of those present in 1865, is scheduled for screenings on June 19, 22, 23, and 30 at 1:30 p.m. These events offer a powerful insight into a pivotal moment in history, presented in a manner that connects directly with the origins of the celebration.

A highlight of the screening series is the special event on June 29 at 11 a.m., featuring a Q&A session with filmmakers Samuel Collins III and Sam Addington. This unique opportunity allows attendees to engage directly with the creators behind the film.
