  • 2024 Fort Worth Boo at the Zoo

Boo at the Zoo, a beloved Halloween tradition in the DFW area, will take place on October 25, 26, and 27, 2024. This festive daytime event, included with zoo admission or membership, offers a wide variety of entertainment, including treat stations, live shows, and animal presentations, making it a fun experience for the entire family.

Attendees can look forward to special activities and tips to enhance their visit. Families are encouraged to wear costumes, although adults and teenagers over 13 must keep their faces visible for safety reasons. With nearly 7,000 animals to see across 64 acres, visitors are advised to check the schedule for keeper chats and stage performances in advance. The event will go on rain or shine, but severe weather could lead to cancellations announced through the zoo's website and social media.

Parking is available at the zoo for a fee, and members receive complimentary parking. Visitors are also encouraged to use public transportation, such as the Southside ZIPZONE service or Trinity Metro bus route #53, which stop nearby. The event provides six complimentary treat coupons for guests at the entrance, with additional coupons available for purchase at designated locations throughout the park.

The variety of activities at Boo at the Zoo includes treat stations offering candy and other themed goodies. Each treat coupon allows guests to collect four pieces of candy, and there will also be a non-candy treat station for those with dietary restrictions. The entertainment lineup includes engaging shows such as the Dr. Suds Bubble Lab and the Haunted Mystery Zookeeper Animal Stage Show, as well as interactions with friendly strolling characters.

Additional attractions include pumpkin displays, a hay maze for younger children, an IKEA Craft Patch for art projects, and special food options. While some attractions have fees, many activities remain accessible without additional costs. Overall, Boo at the Zoo promises a memorable experience filled with Halloween spirit for families and guests of all ages.
