2024 Japanese Garden Fall Festival at FWBG
The Fall Japanese Festival invites visitors to experience the beauty of autumn in the Fort Worth Japanese Garden on November 2–3. This year marks the 51st anniversary since the garden's establishment in 1973. The festival celebrates Japanese arts and culture, offering attendees a chance to immerse themselves in various activities.
During the festival, guests can take part in demonstrations showcasing traditional Japanese arts and crafts. Attendees will have the opportunity to observe practices such as calligraphy, origami, and tea ceremonies, highlighting the skill and finesse involved in these time-honored traditions. Additionally, cultural performances featuring Japanese dance and music will provide entertainment and insight into Japan's rich artistic heritage. Workshops will also be available, allowing participants to engage in hands-on learning and acquire new skills.
The Fort Worth Japanese Garden itself spans 7.5 acres and is designed as a traditional strolling garden. Visitors can wander along winding paths that meander through carefully curated landscapes dotted with cherry trees, Japanese maples, magnolias, and bamboo. The serene environment also features picturesque ponds, many of which are home to koi fish. The Japanese Spring Festival is held each April, further enriching the garden's cultural offerings throughout the year.
