The River Legacy Nature Center will host an engaging exhibit this fall that brings to life a unique world of insects as superheroes through the Bug Squad. This exhibit features animatronic characters that interact with visitors, allowing guests to learn about the superheroes' individual stories, special abilities, and the important traits they possess.
Families can dive into various science topics while enjoying hands-on activities and play areas designed to foster learning and appreciation for biodiversity. Visitors will have the opportunity to bounce like grasshoppers on a trampoline, navigate a multi-platform ant colony climber, and experiment with colors to create their own wing patterns.
The Bug Squad exhibit is scheduled to open on November 16th and has been produced by the Omaha Children's Museum. This institution is dedicated to encouraging children to explore their creativity and understand the mechanics of the world around them through interactive play. The mission of the Omaha Children's Museum emphasizes engaging young imaginations and generating enthusiasm for learning.
