  • Grand Opening of the Cedar Hill Library in a Park

Cedar Hill is poised to warmly welcome the community to the grand opening of its newest facilities on April 27: the Traphene Hickman Library, Cedar Hill Museum, and Signature Park. This event promises to be a day of celebration, brimming with activities ranging from face painting and balloon art to storytelling, alongside an array of food trucks, giveaways, and live music. The occasion is set to highlight the harmonious integration of these three landmarks, offering a day of enrichment and entertainment for all ages.

The day's schedule kickstarts at 8:30am with the gates opening, followed by a fun run, ribbon-cutting ceremonies for the park and library, and various demonstrations throughout the morning. The museum will have its ribbon cutting at 11am, with tributes and entertainment, including a jazz ensemble and a Santana tribute band, continuing into the afternoon. This beautifully curated lineup not only celebrates Cedar Hill's latest additions but also fosters community spirit, underlining a day designed to be memorable for its attendees.
